What is the anatomy of a whole grain? What foods truly use whole grains and what ones are marketing fads? Learn about whole grains that you may be unfamiliar with like amaranth, barley, bulgur, and quinoa. Find out how to choose whole grains when grocery shopping.

Thursday, May 3, "Oriental Medicine! It's more than just needles."  Location: Dwight Lounge
Learn about one of the oldest healing modalities on the planet. Clinical studies have shown acupuncture to be effective for chronic pain, migraines, neck and back pain, tendonitis, sciatica, and carpel tunnel. It helps with stress, anxiety, and depression. Learn about the five organs and meridian system that form the conceptual model of acupuncture. Apply these concepts with a simple meditation designed to balance the energy in your body.

Life is a miracle. Each day the sun rises, the seasons shift. We live in a vibrant and beautiful area. We are sheltered, clothed and fed. Our work awaits us. This is a moment (actually an hour) to take pause and be thankful for the blessings in our lives.
