Please call the help desk to obtain the IP number of your printer before starting these instructions. You will need to know the network name of your printer at the time of your call.
- Launch the Printer Setup Utility by clicking the appropriate icon on your dock
- If you do not have this icon on your dock, please open the hard drive icon, go to your applications folder, and the printer setup utility can be found within the utilities folder. Double-click the icon to launch the program
- You will be viewing a list of your installed printers, click the add icon up the top of the window. A new window will open titled "Printer Browser":

Click the Add button when finished, and another window may appear asking you what installable options there are for the printer. If your printer has an additional tray, envelope feeder, or can support duplexing, select those options and click continue to finish the installation.
The printer should now be listed within your printer list and by default will be bold – stating that it is now your default printer. At this time you can highlight a different printer and set it as default if you do not want this new install to be so. Please open a word document and attempt sending a test print. If you experience difficulties, please contact the help desk at X-2600.
