MHC Wireless on a Mac
Mac computers that have an Airport card installed should have a small airport icon appearing along the top of their screen
- Click this icon, and select the bottom option for internet options
- Select the Airport Icon at the top of this window that opens
- If the Airport power is off, click the button to turn it on
- Click the network pull down list and select to create a new connection
- In the new window that opens, type MHC into the name field. Be sure it is in all capital letters
- Click the options button and assure that the checkbox for encryption is UN-checked
- Click Ok to close this window
- Assure that MHC is selected as the wireless network to connect to within the pulldown list and the signal meter should show the current signal
- Please close this window to save the changes
Your computer should now show MHC as a wireless network to choose from under this pull down list.

Whenever you are within range of MHC's wireless network and this item is selected from the list, you should be able have wireless network access. Please refer to the information commons if you experience difficulties.
