Finding Books

  • The best way to find a book on your topic is to start with a search in the Library Catalog. If you are looking for qualitative materials, try conducting a keyword search combining your country (or perhaps a broader geographical term) with one of the following: diaries, personal narratives, social life and customs, social conditions, sex role, sexual division of labor, women, correspondence. Ex: "latin america and women" or "guatemala and biography"  Once you've found something of interest, you should also browse the books shelved in that particular area.
