Tech Mentors' Roles

In their roles, mentors support the use of technology in courses across the curriculum in the humanities, sciences and social sciences. Working in tandem with both faculty and LITS Liaisons, mentors provide support for a wide variety of applications and initiatives that may be offered within a course:

collaborative writing via wiki
course web page assignments
digital image capture and edit (still and video)
incorporating film clips in assignments
geographical representation of data
digital music composition
building online surveys/forms
Refworks citation databases
digital storytelling
applying XML/TEI to primary sources
specialized curricular software such as Sonar, SPSS, Mathematica or Simulink...
and more!
