Searching for Books and Films

French language and literature materials may be found throughout the library stacks. Two places that might be useful for browsing, however, are the PC section (for language) and PQ21-3989 section (for literature). You may search for books and videos by author, title or subject using the Five College Online Library Catalog.

An alphabetical list of French films on video and DVD (both with and without captions) is most easily created by searching the Five College online library catalog under the subject heading: Motion pictures, French and then limiting your search under "WHERE Item is Located" to Mount Holyoke.

Writing Papers

Help writing your papers is available from many sources on the campus. The reference librarians (Williston Library x2212) can help you refine your topic and search for the books, articles and images you will need in order to write the paper. The Speaking, Arguing, and Writing Program (Reference Area of the Williston Library x 2651) can help you polish your writing and delivery styles. Some help is also available online, particularly the style manuals that tell how to cite the sources you use in your paper.
