- Annual Reviews Index - Offers keyword searching of titles included in the Annual Reviews series including the Annual Review of Sociology. Annual Review articles survey and highlight the literature in a particular discipline.
- Academic Search Premier - offers indexing and abstracts for over 8,000 journals. Over half of the articles are full text. It is interdisciplinary and includes some sociology journals.
- International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) - includes over two million bibliographic references to journal articles and to books, reviews and selected chapters dating back to 1951. It is unique in its broad coverage of international material and incorporates over 100 languages and countries.
- Family & Society Studies Worldwide - indexing publications from a wide range of social science disciplines including anthropology, sociology, psychology, demography, health sciences, education, economics, law, history and social work.
- Social Sciences Citation Index - Part of the ISI Web of Science. Provides bibliographic information to over 1,725 social science journals spanning 50 disciplines. Searchable by keyword, author, journal title. Special feature: users can follow the cited references of one article to locate additional relevant sources.
- Ethnic NewsWatch - An interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) full text database of newspapers, magazines and journals from ethnic, minority and native presses.
- Alternative Press Index - Indexes nearly 300 alternative, radical and left periodicals, newspapers and magazines
- Population Index- A tool published by the Office of Population Research, Princeton University, to access scholarly literature on populations worldwide. "It presents an annotated bibliography of recently published books, journal articles, working papers, and other materials on population topics."
Searching for Books
