Over the past week, anyone entering the library via the main entrance had the privilege of witnessing the transformation of the courtyard as Professor Rie Hachiyanagi assembled her new installation, Inspirare. Below are some photos of the now completed - and stunning - work courtesy of the artist. Come visit the courtyard and experience Inspirare in person!
On behalf of everyone at LITS, welcome to all new and returning students! LITS is ready for the spring semester, though Jorge (LITS mascot and MHC's favorite goose) knows it doesn't feel like spring, yet. When he gets too cold, you might find Jorge inside the LITS complex enjoying a few of these resources . . .

From Friday, January 13th through Friday, January 20th, most of the library courtyard will be closed for installation of a large-scale sculpture by MHC Professor of Art Rie Hachiyanagi. The book stacks, Rao's, Circulation, Media Services, stairs and points beyond will still be accessible by means of small passageways to the left and right just after you enter the courtyard via the library's main entrance.
