ARCHIVAL COLLECTIONS
The archival collections are made up of the official records of Mount Holyoke College, founded in 1837, and document the administration, curriculum, and programs of one of earliest women's colleges in the United States.
MANUSCRIPT COLLECTIONS
Personal papers of Mount Holyoke College trustees, presidents, faculty, staff, and alumnae. The collection also contains papers and records of some authors, artists, families and institutions not related to Mount Holyoke College.
DIGITAL COLLECTIONS
The digitized materials have been scanned from Mount Holyoke College's Records and Manuscript Collections. This is a browsable and searchable database of images. In addition, other collection have been scanned and are accessible through the Five College Digital Access Project Website.
RARE BOOKS
The rare books collections date from 1470 and have their greatest strength in the areas of American History, Dante's Divina commedia, children's literature, Renaissance science, fine press books and works by the College de 'pataphysique.
IMAGE COLLECTIONS
The image collections include photographs in a wide variety of formats such as daguerreotypes, cyanotypes, tintypes, and other formats dating from the mid 1840's. Also included in the collection are post cards, prints and drawings.
