Agency History/Biographical note:
Grace E. Webb was born on February 16, 1883 to Henry and Ella Thomas Webb. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1904, and married the Reverend Charles Tenny the following year. They were stationed in Kobe, Japan. They had one daughter, Ruth Hana Tenny, who graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1929. Grace E. Webb Tenny died on September 27, 1910, in Yokohama, Japan.

Scope and Content:
The Grace E. Webb Tenny Papers contain correspondence, 1900-1907; a small book of tributes written by Grace Webb Tenny's friends; one edition of Gleanings, an American Baptist Mission Paper; and a few photographs. The correspondence details her time at Mount Holyoke College, and especially describes her friends. The book of tributes includes poems, photographs and reminiscences, primarily from her friends in Japan.
