Description:
This series consists of letters (original manuscripts or typescript copies) that Goodale wrote to family members while she was a student at Mount Holyoke Female Seminary from 1838-1840. These documents concern her studies, domestic work, schedule, the school's regulations and religious life, and the Seminary Building. Goodale also frequently mentions Mary Lyon, describes events such as a Fourth of July celebration in 1838,discusses her health and that of other members of the community, and refers to slavery and other contemporary issues.

Description:
This series consists of three notebooks that Goodale compiled while she was a student at Mount Holyoke Female Seminary from 1838-1840. These volumes contain notes for lectures concerning chemistry, geology, and other sciences, "Topics of the Bible Lessons," and detailed descriptions of excursions to Deerfield, Mt. Holyoke (the mountain), and a button factory in South Hadley. This series also includes a poem and compositon written by Goodale and a note concerning her daily schedule.

Description:
This series consists of original drawings and paintings by Goodale, as well as reproductions of some of these items. Her drawings include floor plans for the cellar and first floor of the Seminary Building at Mount Holyoke Female Seminary. The paintings (some of them in color) are stencils and theorems.
