Historical Sketch:
The Board of Examiners at Mount Holyoke College was established
in 1897 primarily to evaluate schools to determine whether they
merited certificate privileges. Additionally, the Board defined
procedures for accepting foreign students.
Description of Records:
The records include annual reports and recommendation of the Board
of Examiners. Information in the annual reports describes the Board's
yearly activities. They also include listings of schools granted
or refused certificate privileges.
