Historical Sketch:
The Committee Advisory to the President on Reorganization was formed in 1935 to discuss reorganization possibilities. Of primary concern for this group was cutting costs while raising academic standards. Final recommendations of the Committee were to reduce the total number of courses offer by the College, and to classify the College in a few division, rather than by department.

Description of Records:
The records contain minutes, summary of discussion, notes, and data submitted during discussion for each meeting of the Committee, a memo from the President to members of the faculty containing a digest of faculty suggestions for reorganization, and brief outlines of suggestions with financial information. The information included in the discussion summaries details Committee member's opinions on reorganization.
