Historical Sketch:
The Committee on Admission Requirements was established to reconsider requirements for admission to Mount Holyoke. Because of increasingly liberal requirements of high schools for graduation and of colleges for admission, the Committee felt an alteration, especially in the Latin requirement was necessary.

Description of Records:
The records contain a report by the Committee which details the altered admission requirements of Smith, Wellesley, and Vassar. The report then submits a proposal for increasingly liberal requirements for Mount Holyoke admission.
