Historical Sketch:
The Committee to Appoint Committees is composed of five elected faculty members, the President of the College, and the Dean of the Faculty. The Committee oversees all appointments to committees.

Description of Records:
The records contain memoranda, reports, minutes, a sabbatical leave list (1988-1989), excerpts from faculty legislation, a list of faculty committees, and a list of all standing committees of the faculty and other standing appointments with members and term lengths. Information on committee openings, the disillusionment of committees, and committees with student members is also included.
