Historical Sketch:
The Work Load Committee of Action on Academic Issues was established in 1964 sponsored by the Student Government Association. The subcommittees included Honors Study, Exam and Semester System, Curriculum Study, and Scholarship Study.

Description of Records:
The records contain a packet of newspaper clipping from the Mount Holyoke College, memoranda, and reports by the Committee and subcommittees. Information concerning the foundation of the Committee, the Exam Committee, and the Honors Committee are all included. The report contains a list of Committee members, an analysis of two questionnaires distributed to students, and recommended changes for the allocation of student time.
