Historical Sketch:
The Romance Languages and Literatures Program was created in 1973.
It is an interdisciplinary program designed to assure fluency in
at least two of the principal romance languages of the world, along
with knowledge of the literatures and cultures they represent.
Description of Records:
The Romance Languages and Literatures Program Records date from
1973-1993. The bulk of the records are annual reports, which include
information on curriculum, advising, course descriptions, statistics
on enrollments, academic honors and prizes earned by majors, and
facility and equipment needs. The records also include a publication
put out by the Board of Admissions titled "Foreign Languages at
Mount Holyoke."
