Historical Sketch:
The European Studies Program was created in 1984. It is in interdisciplinary program which integrates work in the arts with studies in history and the social sciences. In addition, it requires competence in at least one European language.

Description of Records:
The European Studies Program Records contain annual reports dating from 1984/85-1993/94. These reports contain information on course development, budgets, requirements for the major, and statistics on enrollments. Evaluations of students' honors papers are included, as well as, information on events such as lectures and field trips.
