Historical Sketch:
The Office of Human Resources began as the Supervisor of Personnel in 1943. This position was changed to Personnel Officer in 1971. In 1976, the Personnel Office was formed and in 1984 it became the Office of Personnel Services. In 1990, it was renamed to the Office of Human Resources.

Description of Records:
These records contain information on the Office of Human Resources. Included are fliers regarding meetings and seminars, newspaper clippings, memos to faculty and staff, and a copy of the "Report on a Study of the Office of Personnel Services" (Sept. 1985). Also included are the minutes of meetings of the Human Resources Advisory Council, beginning in 1990. There is also health care information including forms, memos, information on particular health care and insurance companies, and manuals. There are pension/retirement plan manuals dated from 1943 and staff handbooks and manuals dated from 1963.
