Mary Lyon Hall
The Mary Lyon Hall was built in 1897 on the site of the Seminary building after its destruction by fire in 1896. The building was designed by the architectural firm of Gardner, Pyne and Gardner. It houses the administrative offices, classrooms and chapel. Much of the money for the construction of the Hall was given by D.K. Pearson. When the corner stone was laid, a crayon drawing of Mary Lyon was discovered. In 1937 the chapel was renovated and enlarged with a donation from Emily Abbey Gill. As a result, it was renamed Abbey Chapel.
