| Consulting Librarians |
For any question you may have, the reference librarians encourage you to stop by the reference desk and discuss your research. They can identify reference tools that are appropriate to your topic and instruct you on how best to use them, whether they are in paper or online. Reference librarians can also help you with your research strategy, such as how to broaden or narrow your topic, or what is the likelihood that the information you need exists or can be borrowed from another library. They can also show you how to locate primary and secondary sources in Mount Holyoke's collection.
Mount Holyoke's reference librarians also offer consulting to students pursuing independent study or doing large term papers. To make an appointment, stop by the reference desk, call x2212 or go to the Internet address http://www.mtholyoke.edu/lits/library/ref/indappt.shtml
Don't hesitate to ask a reference librarian for assistance! That's their job!
