September 1-30, 2006 6th Floor Williston Library M-F 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sat-Sun 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mount Holyoke College Library Information and Technology Services (LITS) will host the exhibit "Changing the Face of Medicine: Celebrating America’s Women Physicians" in September of 2006. The interactive, multimedia traveling exhibition honors the lives and achievements of American women in medicine since they first gained admission to American medical schools 150 years ago. Mount Holyoke's history of educating women in the sciences, consistency in producing pioneers in the fields of health care, medicine, and all sciences, and proximity to a wealth of resources makes this a particularly valuable opportunity.(download pdf postcard) Also on display are smaller exhibits featuring original documents, photographs and objects from Archives and Special Collections: "Everlastingly Sticking at It: Mary Phylinda Dole, A Country Doctor, Helps Change the Face of Medicine" download pdf and "Frankly, How Did She Do It?
