College Delivery
Requesting books from the Four College Libraries
When to use this service:
- Mount Holyoke does not own the item
- Mount Holyoke's copy is checked out
- Mount Holyoke's copy is billed, missing or on
hold for another patron
Please note: Mount Holyoke library books will
not be paged from the stacks for Mount Holyoke patrons.
Instructions for requesting books
If you locate a book in the online catalog that is not currently
available at Mount Holyoke, you may request it from any of the other
colleges. Books may also be requested from the UMass
Library Catalog, which is a separate database.
Web Catalog
Once you locate the item in the web catalog you will notice
a series of green rectangles at the top and bottom of the screen.
- Locate the one that says "Request Item" and click it.
- You will be prompted to enter your name and library barcode,
located on the back of your OneCard (21020350
). Once the
fields are filled in click the "Submit above information"
button.
- Choose one item from the list and click the "Request selected
item" button.
- If the item is eligible for this service you will get a message
stating "Your request has been sent to the library".
Normally, the item you request will be delivered to the Mount Holyoke
College main library within 2-3 business days. You will receive
notification via email when the item has arrived. It will be held
for you at the circulation desk for 10 days.
