Holds/Recalls

A hold may be placed on a book at any time using the "request item" function in the online catalog, or in person at the circulation desk: see instructions here. A book is eligible to be recalled once it has been checked out to a patron for two weeks. The recall notice, sent out the day after the request is made, reflects the item's new due date. Fines are processed for the late return of recalls. Patrons will be billed for recalled items that are not returned.

Please note: Mount Holyoke library books will not
be paged from the stacks for Mount Holyoke patrons.
