Using the Reserve Collection

Faculty members may request that books, journal articles and videos which must be made available to a large number of students in a short period of time be placed in the reserve collection for use by patrons on a limited basis.

Reserve materials circulate for either three hours or two days. They may be checked out at the service desk. Items may be taken overnight if it is necessary to have them for more than three hours. Holds may be placed on reserve items only for overnight circulation. Overnight loans may be taken after 10:00 p.m. and must be returned within one hour after the library opens the following day. Students are responsible for knowing the fine policy for reserve items.

Patrons can search the Five College Library Catalog under the options Reserve Lists by Instructor or Reserve Lists by Course.
