Area Handbook Series which are located in the Library's Reference
Room. Each work focuses on a specific country's political, economic,
social, and national security systems and institutions.
- Country
Reports on Economic Policy and Trade Practices. Produced by
the US State Department for Congress.
- Portals
to the World. Provided by the Library of Congress, this site
contains "selective links providing authoritative, in-depth information
about the nations and other areas of the world."
- Biography.
Online www site for the A&E television program. For a more extensive

- Woodrow
Wilson International Center for Scholars.Provides, among other
resources, the full-text of recently declassified Soviet documents.
- Foreign
and International Law Web. Provides links to primary foreign
and international legal resources.
- World
Constitutions.Provides partial coverage of constitutions for
various countries. Constitutions of the Countries of the World
(K 3157 E5 C65) is a more comprehensive source.
- Multilaterals
Project. Ongoing project at the Fletcher School of Law
and Diplomacy to provide the texts of international multilateral conventions
and other instruments.
- European
Treaty Series. Provides the full text of treaties signed by
countries in Europe since 1949.

Security Archive. An independent, non-governmental research
institute that publishes declassified U.S. documents.
- Foreign
Relations of the United States. Selected volumes from
the printed set (JX 233 A3) published by the U.S. State Department since
1861. The set contain the official documentary historical record of
U.S. foreign policy decisions and diplomatic activity of the U.S. government.
- Thomas:
Legislative Information on the Internet. Provides the full-text
of legislation and accompanying documents (hearings, reports, bills,
