Your Computer Account
Information and Policies
Introduction
Your Mount Holyoke College computer account provides
access not only to email, but also a number of other services needed for
academic purposes, such as college announcements, course materials,
and network file storage. Students can obtain their grades and
faculty can set grades using their computer
accounts on ISIS.
This document and its links
provide important information about
your computer account and the policies related to its use.
Email forwarding
This computer account is also your official Mount Holyoke College email
address.
Official college email will be sent to this address.
If you choose not to use your MHC account for email, you should
forward email from the MHC account to the account that you normally use.
Password security
This account is for your use only. Never provide your current MHC password to
anyone else for any reason or let anyone else use your account.
This includes friends, relatives, supervisors. The College provides this
account for your use only.
If anyone asks (including a supervisor), do not answer and report the
incident to one of the Account Managers in the computing department.
While a Mount Holyoke College Account Manager might ask you what you used
for a previous password, this would occur only be in the event of a security
problem and when a new password already has been generated. You will never be
asked for a current password for any legitimate purpose.
If you suspect that someone else has your password,
change your password immediately at
the password profile page.
