About the EZproxy service

EZproxy is a program the college purchased from usefulutilities.com. Ezproxy provides a simple method for off-campus access to restricted databases to which LITS has subscribed. These databases are normally available only from machines with on-campus IP addresses.

EZproxy runs on an on-campus server that you attach to. That server fetches the web pages for you from its on-campus IP number and sends them to your browser.

Because EZproxy rewrites the URLs in order to accomplish this task, bookmarks should not be used since they may not be consistent across sessions.

This service is only available to current MHC students, staff, faculty, and those who have emeritus status.

This service requires a login using your MHC username and password. It is done using a secure server.

After login, some browsers disply a warning that there is a transition back to an insecure web server. This warning may be ignored.
