Learn to customize photographs for print or the Web with Photoshop® CS5. Covers tools for cropping, shaping, painting, and adding text. If you've never used Photoshop, this is the course for you, especially if you need to get pictures ready for a website!

Dreamweaver® I: Basics 7:30-9pm, Training Room, Library 619
Explore the possibilities of basic website creation with Dreamweaver® CS5! Participants will become familiar with the basic menus, tools and project management capabilities.Topics include inserting and modifying text, creating links, inserting images and more. This course is the first in a series of Dreamweaver® workshops. It is the prerequisite for Dreamweaver® II: Intro. to CSS.

This course is for the student who has never used Powerpoint®, or who needs a refresher before registering for the next level course. Add those little touches that make a presentation smoke, but still remain professional! Learn to package the presentation so you can take it anywhere (almost). Prerequisite: Powerpoint® Basics or equivalent experience. The current Powerpoint® Basics handout will help you determine whether you're ready for this level.

This workshop covers the next level of image and text editing in Photoshop® CS4. It requires a basic knowledge of the software including how to use the Move, Selection, Eyedropper and Color Picker, Paintbrush, Gradient/Paint Bucket, Text, Shapes and Zoom tools.  You will also need to know how to create and manipulate layers, as the workshop will explore layers in-depth. Prerequisite: Photoshop® Basics workshop completed by February 8, 2012 + prerequisite assignment. Registration closes February 12, 2012.

Looking for greater control over the appearance of your web site? This is your next step! Learn how to create and modify your own style sheet, and maybe even learn to manipulate those stylesheets embedded in layouts you admire. This course is the second in a series of Dreamweaver® workshops. Prerequisite: complete Dreamweaver® 1 no later than February 13, 2012, then use a prepared exercise to demonstrate your ability to set up the Dreamweaver® box, properly create the url for your site, and create a properly structured basic website using Dreamweaver®'s html formatting--with images, and links (including anchors), before entering this class. Class size limited to 10 participants. Registration closes on February 15, 2012.
