About:
As a linguist, Daryl is fascinated by all aspects of language, with a particular love for grammar. Prior to joining Mount Holyoke College as the Director of the Language Resource Center in 2009, Daryl taught English for speakers of other languages for over 10 years in a variety of settings both in the U.S and abroad, at levels from elementary school to college. In addition to English, Daryl speaks Spanish and Japanese and looks forward to opportunities to study more languages here at MHC. When she's not at home relaxing with her partner Robert and their small flock of parakeets (Nigel, Daisy, Pudgie, and Miss Tweetie), Daryl is likely to be out hiking, camping and/or fishing.
