Alumna's Film on ESPN Classic Sunday
A Hero For Daisy, a documentary by Mary Mazzio '83 about two-time Olympic rower Chris Ernst, will be shown this Sunday at 9pm EDT on ESPN Classic. Ernst led a famous protest at Yale in 1976 to protest the lack of locker room facilities for women athletes; the protest kick-started wide compliance with Title IX to equalize sports opportunities for women. Renaissance Singers Lead Off MIFA Series at MHC
The Ionian Singers, a 30-person British a cappella group, perform works of the Renaissance era Saturday, September 25, at 8pm at Abbey Chapel. The concert is the first of several MHC events in the 1999-2000 Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts.

Alumna Wins National Anheuser-Busch Contest
Joan Lippert Indig '74's journalism work on drunk driving netted her one of two prizes in Anheuser-Busch's 1999 Safe Driving Platform Journalism Contest. Indig directed her $5,000 award to two MHC students studying public-policy reporting. Read more about the story here.
