Seniors Honored at Scholar Athlete Reception

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (May 22, 2009) – Prior to the annual athletics awards celebration earlier this month, 18 Mount Holyoke seniors representing ten teams were honored as part of the College’s inaugural Scholar Athlete Reception. The recognition event highlighted those student-athletes who have excelled both on the field and in the classroom. It was organized by Mount Holyoke Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Honorees included seniors with cumulative grade point averages of 3.5 or higher who have participated on a varsity team for three or more years. They were able to celebrate their accomplishments with select faculty at the event, which took place on Thursday, May 7.
