MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (Dec. 7, 2008) - The Mount Holyoke College women's squash team grabbed three victories today at Wesleyan University. After defeating William Smith College 8-1, the Lyons picked up a thrilling 5-4 triumph over George Washington University. They then blanked Northeastern University 9-0 for their fifth straight win.

For the second day in a row, Mount Holyoke's top five players won each of their matches. From number one to number five, the group consisted of senior Pamela Anckermann, sophomore Vidushi Gurunada, junior Laura Robinson, junior Laurian Lue Yen and first year Shara Robertson.

It was the Lyons fifth consecutive win over William Smith. They are perfect in contests against both George Washington (5-0) and Northeastern (2-0).

Mount Holyoke (5-1) has now completed the 2008 portion of its schedule. The Lyons are slated to return to action on Sunday, January 11 at Williams College. They will face off against Middlebury College at 1:00 p.m. before taking on the host Ephs at 4:00 p.m.
