Yelena Chepurina FP '08 Wins Scholastic Award

Yelena Chepurina FP '08 has been awarded a 2008 Mary P. Oenslager Scholastic Achievement Award in recognition of extraordinary leadership, scholarship, enterprise, and service to others.
The cash award was presented in February in Washington, D.C., by Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, a national nonprofit, volunteer organization that offers an accessible audiobook library for students with disabilities that make reading standard print difficult or impossible. Offered since 1959, the awards are given to nine students or new graduates who are legally blind and have a grade point average of 3.0 or more on a 4.0 scale.
