On October 27, faculty and staff at Mount Holyoke College are invited to take part in the Five College Day of Dialogue, a series of intergroup dialogues with trained facilitators who are their faculty and staff peers on campus. Each group will meet in two-hour sessions on one of four topics: race and ethnicity, gender, class and rank, and religion.

Gladys Moore, dean of religious and spiritual life and director of diversity and inclusion, and Tanya Williams, coordinator of multicultural affairs, are organizing the event.

“Our hope is that many of you will become so engaged as a result of this introductory opportunity that we will create a stronger Mount Holyoke community and build bridges across our differences. We also hope that you will want more sustained dialogues in the spring,” Moore said.

Each dialogue group will be limited to 15 participants, so early registration (see below) is advised. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, October 20, at 5 pm.
