Larson-Koester Grabs 16th at NCAA Regionals
BRUNSWICK, Maine (Feb. 21, 2009) – Mount Holyoke indoor track and field team member Miriam Larson-Koester took home 16th place in the shot put today at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships. The meet was hosted by Bowdoin College at the Mount Aratat Track.
Larson-Koester, who has made an immediate impact on the program this season, has continually excelled in the weight throw as well as the shot put. The first year recorded a distance of 10.68 meters today. Last weekend, she recorded a personal best toss of 11.26 meters at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Coed Invitational.
Mount Holyoke’s indoor season has now been completed. The Lyons first outdoor meet will be the Trinity College Invitational on March 28.
