<p><strong>WELLESLEY, Mass. (April 11, 2009)</strong> &ndash; Junior attacker Molly Morrow exploded for a career high 12 points on eight goals and four assists, as the Wellesley College women&rsquo;s lacrosse team cruised to a 19-9 victory over Mount Holyoke College this afternoon in New England Women&rsquo;s and Men&rsquo;s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action in Wellesley, Mass. It was the Blue&rsquo;s fourth consecutive triumph.</p>
<p>Wellesley (7-4, 2-0 NEWMAC) finished with advantages in shots (26-18), ground balls (20-16) and draw controls (17-13). In addition to Morrow&rsquo;s scoring outburst, the hosts also received solid production from sophomore attacker Jenny Holland, who found the net six times and added a helper. Junior midfielder Loretta White added two goals and one assist.</p>
<p>After opening the 2009 season with an overall record of 3-2, Mount Holyoke has now dropped six straight contests. Leading the way for the Lyons today was junior midfielder <strong><a href="http://www.mtholyoke.edu/athletics/varsity/lacrosse/19083.shtml">Peggy Wefald</a></strong>, who racked up six goals. Senior midfielder <strong><a href="http://www.mtholyoke.edu/athletics/varsity/lacrosse/19072.shtml">Ava Gottschall</a></strong> chipped in with a hat trick for the guests.<br />

Morrow amassed five of her eight tallies before the break, as Wellesley sprinted to a 10-2 halftime advantage. The Blue then outscored Mount Holyoke 9-7 in the second stanza to put things away. Wefald recorded five goals after the intermission.<br />

Sophomore goalkeeper Marie Mattia came up with eight saves for Wellesley. At the other end, sophomore <strong><a href="http://www.mtholyoke.edu/athletics/varsity/lacrosse/22555.shtml">Missy Hartley</a></strong> turned away three shots for the visitors.</p>
<p>Mount Holyoke (3-8, 0-3 NEWMAC) will return to action on Tuesday, when it hosts Springfield College for a league tilt beginning at 7:00 p.m.</p>
