Fajardo and Starbranch Earn Share of "Lyon of the Week" Award
Sophomore field hockey team members Jess Fajardo and Maddy Starbranch have earned a share of the “Lyon of the Week” award for the week of September 7-13. The forwards recorded one goal and one assist apiece in the Lyons season opening 4-1 triumph over Simmons College on Saturday. With the contest knotted at 1-1, Starbranch tallied what proved to be the winner at the 42:10 mark. She then set up Fajardo’s goal seven minutes later. Mount Holyoke iced things in the 61st minute, when senior forward Katelyn Frick found the cage off an assist from Fajardo.
