Peltier Snags "Lyon of the Week" Accolades
Carly Peltier has been named “Lyon of the Week” for the week of September 21-27. The first year captured victories at both singles and doubles to power the Mount Holyoke tennis team to a thrilling 5-4 triumph over MIT on Saturday. With the match in the balance, she sealed things with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Kerry Weinberg at the number six singles position. Earlier in the day, Peltier and senior Sarah London came from behind to edge Weinberg and Jenny Dohlman 9-8 (7-2) in their number three doubles contest. Mount Holyoke had fallen in each of the previous 19 meetings with the Engineers dating back to the 1990-91 season.
