<p>PORTLAND, Maine (January 13, 2007) - Senior Andi Villasenor reset the Mount Holyoke College indoor track shot put record with a throw of  35'5.5 at University of Southern Maine. Villasenor's throw earned her second place in the event. Her performance also qualified her for the Division III championships. </p>

<p>Junior Grace Zeigler recorded Mount Holyoke College's only first place finish in the long jump event. She registered a mark of 16'03". Besides Zeigler's top finish, four different MHC athletes finished in fourth place in their respective events. Senior Gretchen Sminkey recorded 37'11" in the weight throw. First year Hillary Haber managed a 31'2" throw in the shot put. Classmate Jessica Brezicha took fourth in the high jump, reaching a height of 4'4". Ebony Williams '10 raced to a fourth place finish in the 400m, recording a time of 64.98. </p>

<p>Overall, the team performed well. Nine different MHC athletes recorded new personal records (PRs). Senior Shannon Graham set PRs in both the shot put (29'3.5") and the weight throw (30'0.50"). Junior Julia Wagner finished the 3k in 11:45.82, destroying her previous PR by almost 30 seconds. </p>

<p>The indoor track team will travel to Medford, Mass. to compete at Tufts University on Saturday, January 21st. </p>
