Dartmouth Upends Squash, 8-1

HANOVER, N.H. (Nov. 21, 2008) - The Dartmouth College women's squash team picked up an 8-1 victory over visiting Mount Holyoke College this evening at the Berry Center. It was the Lyons first dual match of the 2008-09 campaign.
Senior Pamela Anckermann earned Mount Holyoke's lone won. She defeated senior Madeline Lurio 3-0 at the number one spot. The Lyons also received solid efforts from junior Laura Robinson and first year Shara Robertson, who each fell in four sets. Robinson was downed by junior Libbey Brown in the number three contest. Meanwhile, Robertson was defeated by sophomore Taylor Tulley in the number five contest.
Mount Holyoke (0-1) will return to action tomorrow, when it competes in the United States Women's Team Championship. The individual tournament will be hosted by Smith College.
