I want to be one of many to extend a warm welcome to you as you prepare to join the Mount Holyoke community. In the Dean of Students office we have been preparing for your arrival since last fall! I work throughout the year with a dedicated group of students, the Orientation Board, and offices around the campus to create an orientation program that will answer your initial questions, get you connected, and give you a taste of all that Mount Holyoke has to offer.

Our orientation theme this year, Make it Happen, reflects our commitment to empowering women for the purpose of making a difference. In keeping with the mission of the college, Fall Orientation 2008 begins the process of "educating a diverse residential community of women at the highest level of academic excellence and fostering the alliance of liberal arts education with purposeful engagement in the world."
