Transportation FAQ
What transportation is available on campus?Public Safety provides rides to the Health Center to members of the MHC community who become ill. Patrol officers will also provide late-night escorts from parking lots to residence halls or from academic buildings to residence halls. Call x2304 to request an escort after 12:30 am and until dawn.
What transportation is available within the Five College area? Transportation around the Five College area is available to the Holyoke Mall and Big Y Food Market. Off-campus transportation is not available during College breaks and holidays or during the summer.
Fleet Program The college has a range of vehicles students may use for Student Organization or for a Department with permission from your professor for college business. In order to be able to drive, you must attend an orientation class to become fleet certified. With any questions on becoming a fleet driver or other questions, contact the Fleet Office between the hours of 10am-3pm, Monday - Friday at x2826.
LyonShare Program A recent addition to the Fleet Program is the LyonShare Rental Vehicle for personal or individual purpose. There are fee's associated, but fuel and insurance coverage is included. You also must be fleet certified to participate. With any questions, contact the Fleet Office between the hours of 10am-3pm, Monday - Friday at x2826.
Ride Van The Ride Van program will return to campus this academic year on a loop system around campus. The shuttle map will be published soon; check the Fleet Office Web site for more details. The shuttle will run daily, excluding breaks, from 10pm-2am.
Holyoke Mall and Big Y Shuttles Student Programs sponsors weekly shuttles to the Holyoke Mall & Big Y during the academic year, excluding breaks. The cost is $1 for your ticket and they can be purchased at the Blanchard Info Desk.
Community Service Shuttles The Fleet Office provides transportation to sites in Holyoke and South Hadley for your community service needs. The shuttle departs Blanchard Hall Monday-Friday during the academic year, excluding breaks. If you are interested, please contact the C.A.U.S.E. student organization for locations and further information.
