New
Website!
 There's
something new at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum which doesn't
hang in the galleries. In early summer, museum business coordinator
Amy Wehle, Maria Stotts '99, and graduate student intern Agata
Ciemiega created a website to provide up-to-date news of exhibitions
and events as well as general information about the museum and
its permanent collection. A select group of images are featured.
On-line versions of the Calendar and the Newsletter
are also available. The address is www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/artmuseum.
In future years the museum's site will include a searchable database
of the collections of each of the museums of the Five College
Consortium (Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges,
and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst) and Historic Deerfield,
Inc.
Director's
Circle in Chicago
 The
last spring, 34 members of the museum's Director's Circle and
Art Advisory Board gathered in Chicago for a very special series
of events. The schedule for the weekend of May 7-10 included receptions,
dinner at the distinguished Arts Club of Chicago, tours of spectacular
private collections, and a behind-the-scenes look at the Navy
Pier Exposition of Contemporary Art.
Plans are already underway for next year's art-filled weekend,
in Washington D.C. Join the Director's Circle and join the fun!
