Gorse Child Study Center

Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Gorse Child Study Center serves as a laboratory school for the Department of Psychology and Education. There are four half-day programs: three preschool groups (two in the morning and one in the afternoon) and an
afternoon kindergarten. Classes typically have 12-14 children between the ages of three to six. See the center's site for more information.

Built in 1952, the center was the gift of Phoebe Florence Gorse Smith, member of the class of 1916 and trustee of the College, as a memorial to her father, Frank Washington Gorse.
