Return to the Head House, turn to the right, and go down the three steps into the Show House. The Show House is the oldest greenhouse in the glasshouse complex and contains plant collections requiring intermediate winter temperatures (about 55 degrees Fahrenheit). You may see many different species and hybrids of Camellia, Fuchsia, Salvia, Pelargonium, Hedera (ivy), Viola, Chrysanthemum, Lavandula (lavender) Pittosporum, Clematis, Hebe, Passiflora, Myrtus (myrtle), Osmanthus, and Jasminum. Many cool-loving orchids, including species of Cymbidium and Masdevallia also share the Show House. The Show House has also hosted the Talcott Greenhouse Annual Spring Flower Show every year for over 25 years.
