BARC Frequently Asked Questions:
DO I NEED TO WRITE A COVER LETTER FOR EACH COMPANY I WANT TO APPLY TO?:
Yes. Your cover letter is your personal means of matching your resume to the requirements on the job listing. You should write a unique letter for each organization and job. You may have a counselor/advisor review your cover letter before submitting it to your career center.
CAN I APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE POSITION?:
Absolutely! Apply for as many openings you feel might meet your interests.
WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I GOT AN INTERVIEW?:
After the employers receive the materials from each of the participating colleges, they will evaluate the candidates and make interview selections by January 20, 2006.
ARE THERE ANY COSTS FOR THE STUDENT?:
There is no fee to attend the event itself. However, seniors selected for interviews will need to furnish their own transportation to and from New York City as well as hotel accommodations if staying overnight.
