Funding an Unpaid Internship
Fellowships sponsored by alumnae and other donors are available for students doing unpaid internships.
Fellowships are available the beginning of spring semester and are awarded on a competitive basis. Award amounts range from $500 to $2,500 depending on the time period, merit of the applicant, and available funding. Some fellowships are open only to students pursuing internships in specific fields or geographic location (i.e. public service, biomedical research, politics, Washington, D.C., etc.); others are general and may apply to broader career interests or majors. See the descriptions...
Through submission of a Universal Application, each student applies to all summer funding opportunities available at MHC at once. Each application will be considered for all funding opportunities for which it is eligibility requirements.
Please be aware that recipients of alumnae- and donor-sponsored internship fellowships will be required to write an in-depth thank you letter to the donor upon completion of the internship. More information on this is provided at the time of your award.
