David Gardner, Ph.D.
Director for Pre-Health and Science Advising David Gardner is responsible for advising students interested in pursuing professional and graduate training in all areas of medicine and the sciences, helping students obtain clinical internships and research experiences, and assisting with applications for graduate fellowships in the sciences.
Originally from Massachusetts, David received his B.S. from Trinity College and his Ph.D. from Duke University. He's delighted to be back in New England after spending ten years as a biology professor at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. David is also an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, and he has many years of experience in shipboard operations, search and rescue, and international exercise planning. He loves to sail, cook, refinish old furniture, and garden, but his favorite thing to do is hang out with his wife Bridget (MHC '81) and his two kids, Nathan and Benjamin.
