Eligibility
The CDC offers students the opportunity to receive funding to help with expenses over the course of an unpaid internship through the Universal Application Form. Please read the following requirements carefully as you consider applying.
Internship funding from the College is designed to assist you with expenses incurred while on site at your unpaid internship. The CDC cannot provide you with enough money to take care of all your expenses over the summer. Internship awards amounts range from $500-$2500 dollars depending on the time period, merit of the individual, and available funding.
- You must be a current student in good academic standing at the time of your application and internship. Graduating seniors are not eligible for Internship funding.
- The internship must show some promise of advancing you in the direction of a senior thesis, career field, graduate school, etc. In your Universal Application Form, it is important for you to make the relationship between your internship preparedness, career interests, and future goals clear.
- The internship must be registered with the CDC prior to beginning your internship and receiving your award check, and the you must complete the internship and all of its requirements satisfactorily (NOTE: this rule applies only to CDC-funded internships). Otherwise, you may be asked to repay the award monies you received.
If you have any questions, please attend one of the Summer Opportunities workshops at the CDC. To find our next workshop, visit the CDC Master Calendar.
